Changing DefaultDesignTypes.txt
May I change these at will, or does the computer use this file for anything other than providing the starting strings?

Re: Changing DefaultDesignTypes.txt
The file is only used to get the initial list of design types to pick from when a human empire is created. Each AI uses its own design types, based on how its ship design files are set up. You can change it at will. Ultimate Strategies Mod has a file with lots of design types in it, compiled from various sources and my own style. Check it out!

Re: Changing DefaultDesignTypes.txt
Ok, I tried it. Interesting collection.
Is there any way to get rid of the old ones, though?
*By old ones, I mean that the default one's are still there, surprisingly. Yours are appended to the default's list.

Re: Changing DefaultDesignTypes.txt
Really? That does not happen for me. How are you loading them up? I usually create my empire with USM loaded, save it to file, then use it in a PBW game, and it has always worked fine so far.

Re: Changing DefaultDesignTypes.txt
Well, it does add yours, but appends all of them at the end of the default list. Which is annoying, because one would have to use that delete, select, delete, select.
It appears as though the default design names are built into the code... !?
