				 Trouble with CD-keys
My girlfriend finally got her own copy of Dominions II, mostly so that she could play
multiplayer. The problem is that the new
key in her manual seems to get rejected by
the old installation. She has a bunch of
mods and maps, and she would rather avoid
 reinstalling.

What could be causing the rejection?
Does she have to stay out of games that I am
also playing if she keeps the old key? (mine)
Which files should be kept if she has to reinstall?

That sounds strange. E-mail the new key to me at Illwinter Game Design and I'll see if I can find anything strange with it.Quote:

You could also try to copy your 'maps' and 'mods' directories somewhere, delete the dominions2 folder, reinstall the game and then copy back your maps and mods folders again.

I'm sorry for wasting your time. I should havelooked at the manual earlier myself. We had
 mistaken one digit for another.

Everything is fine now, and thanks the powers
that be, she got the stale turn, not I :-)

I think we are all missing the real point here.
Your girlfriend actually plays dominions and likes it? Your a lucky fella.

My girlfriends not much of a videogamer.

My wife is but she is more arcade. She likes playing games like MechWarrior. Other than that tabletop DnD. Somehow she never got much into computer games.Quote:

Too bad to. She has a kindof spreadsheet thinking that would let her play Dom very differently (and probably better) than I.

Yours is clearly defective, then. I suggest returning her to the store for a full refund.Quote:
