Re: OT: Missing people
Invoke my name...
New degree, new occupation, new geography, new home. Still reading the SEIV forum several times a week. Playing Dominions 2 solo while waiting for SEV. I was a latecomer to SEIV, missed the “golden era” to be an original contributor to documentation, mods, ship sets, or tactics/strategy articles. Hoping for new ground to explore in SEV…

Re: OT: Missing people
You can still make mods now... there are a number of them in active development.

Re: OT: Missing people
I am still around, hovering in the ether and planning untold cartoon violence to all and sundry.
What little time I have had for gaming has been spent bashing away on Rome Total War (damn that game is wonderful!)
On a serious note, real life has just caught up with me hugely since about August Last year.
Work has been horribly busy, unrewarding and just a misery really. I am getting to the stage (I am 35) of deciding that I fancy something different. Something where I take a paycut and hopefully have a fulfilled work life, but have the ability to balance my private life as well. At the rate things are going, I just think life is heading for heart disease (I drink too much, smoke and am now overweight) and an early death. There has got to be a way of striking the balance.
On another note, what has kept me really busy is becoming a father Last September. Alessandra Grace is the joy of my life and (although I admit to being biassed) is the most beautiful little girl in the world. Fatherhood is perfect and I just wander why I left it so late. Even the sleepless nights and nappies are a pleasure....
But to work now, but will try and log back in soon.

Re: OT: Missing people
I haven't read the Boards in well over a year, but I still pop by now and then and even play SE4 once in a while. But work got very busy for me (pretty good, considering that just before I stopped posting I was worried about continuing to have a job). Not to mention that, as Atrocities mentioned, the political battles started to drive me (and others) away...
Looking forward to SE5!

Re: OT: Missing people
Well, I'm still around. Ever since they started tracking people's internet usage at work, I just can't visit the forum as often as I used to. And when I do get on from my home pc, there's so many new threads, I just don't know which ones to read. So I'll look at a few, maybe respond, and download a few files. Don't count me out, but it's not as easy at home for me to surf the web like it was at work. Things like a wife and a kid sometimes get in the way. But I plan on being around for quite awhile, especially after SEV comes out.
