Cant play internet game - bug now identified

I created an account and received an email saying

Thank you for signing up as a member of Land of Legends Online.

For your records, your Land of Legends Online password and the email address you
registered it with are:
Email: ************************
Username: eternaloptimist
Password : ************

but I get the error message

username/password comination not recognised

heeeellllllllllppppppppp !!!!

Hmm, server is down at the moment (which is very rare), but I don't know if that's related to your problem.

Did you use any characters that might not be recognised, or that might get lost over the net?

Or, are you sure your account name isn't too long?

are you telling me that there is no validation on the account name length plus they will send out a false confirmation ?

I'm not telling you anything definite, just that it might be an unknown bug. Your account name is rather long.

I may be dumb about this but I have so many user names and log ons and passwords that I decided long ago to slim it down to just one of each.

Everywhere I go I am eternally optimistic

So expect to meet eternaloptimist in the lobby and you can teach me a thing or two about LOL.

eternaloptimist,

I just tested your account and there's nothing wrong with your username or password. It works fine. You can login to the website and the lobby using the password you entered when you created your account online.

I hate to state the obvious, but just in case, double check your password and your caps lock. If you forgot your password, just go to http://lol.shrapnelgames.com/Forgot.asp and enter your e-mail address to have your user info sent to you.

well now I am really stumped !!

I just tried twice more and still no joy

my username/password is not recognised
