Shipsets in SE5
I figure there are quite a few people out there who are thinking about making new shipsets for SE5, and some who want to convert old shipsets from SE4 to SE5. Of course, since SE5 is 3d now, converting shipsets requires the original model files, and they will likely have to be reduced in poly count quite a bit.
I, like many others, use Wings3d and am too cheap to own a copy of 3D Studio. SE5 seems to use an unusual format for models, one that Wings3d doesn't export to. I'm hoping to get some discussion going here that will eventually lead to some solutions to the Wings3d issue and help new and returning shipset makers find thier footing in the world of SE5 shipbuilding.

Save it somewhere then use the Install Plugin command in Wings (it's on the File menu) to install it.

Re: Shipsets in SE5
What version of wings are you using? It might only work with the dev version (0.98.35)...

Re: Shipsets in SE5
Nope, still isn't working. Is it supposed to appear in the export options or is it a command?
