In short no.
Russia has the 7th Guard Mountain Air Assault Division they are like all Russian Airborne troops " highly" mechanized. But like our 10th Mountain do specialize and train for the terrain they are named for. Also it is suggested they are more akin to be called " Para-Commandos".
The quote below indicates they recently within the last couple of years operated in the Ukraine.
"In Luhansk, and in the city of Novosvitlivka in the Krasnodon district in the Luhansk region, units of the 7th Guard Mountain Air Assault Division are stationed," the report of Prava Sprava says."
