Someone already posted a topic about prestige points gained from sphereworlds and such. I like that idea and wish to see it. I also think that the size of your fleets and the victorys that they have had should effect diplomacy with other races. If you have a massive fleet that has had many victorys, then other races should be more interested in keeping good diplomatic relations with you for fear of being attacked by your fleet. If your've defeated other races then that should also affect your prestiege. The bigger and badder and the more experienced your empire is, the less likely other empires are to want to fight you.
