Semi OT: My silliness, the forum, and links

Assume my knowledge of informatics is Non-Existant. How would I make a link to a thread, without linking to a particular post in said thread?

If I copy the URL given when I click on the thread, it simply goes to a post in this thread, and not to the first post (the first or the Last) in the list. Or am I missing something really obvious? *Glowers at the laughers in the back of the room*
