There's a serious lack of maps with ~80 provinces ...
Aran : 107 provinces, 11 of these are under water
Chandrea - The Dunken Donut : 102 provinces, 17 are water
Albatha : 69 provinces, 13 of them seas
Brittain : 68 provinces
The Sundering: 61 provinces, 10 of these are under water

As for AI the most effective work around to this problem so far is to simply use an American instead, they tend to put up a bit more of a fight than your average Artificial Idiot.
