Default Helicopters being bombed by airplanes

Sorry if this has been reported before, couldn't find anything after a quick search.

I was somewhat amused today when I noticed my high flying attack helos being bombed, and more than that being hit, by fighter planes. The helo had been stationary for a few turns, meaning it was also being targeted by ATGMs and such which is not a bug. However I would imagine that a high flying helo being hit by unguided bombs dropped from a fighter bomber might not be intentional behavior.

Attached is a save file replicating the situation. The helos in the saved game are French Tigres. During my regular play it happened with American Apaches so I would imagine it's not dependent on the type of helo being used. However both helos were armed with SAMs, which might or might not have something to do with being targeted by the bombs.

To see the reported behavior, end the current turn. North Korean MiGs will proceed to attack the helos. You might have to repeat a few times if the helos are too adept at shooting down the attacking planes.
