Thanks everyone for your answers to date. This is turning out to be very informative and I would suggest that all newbies (like myself) take heed.

   -- if you use an MR, do you add an Auxillary Bridge? -- Y/N
   
   I add an AB to my larger ships with MC since MCII only costs 20kt and the AR 10kt. I do that in the event that the ship gets infected with a virus.
