Simple Game of Gold.

This is a basic, simple, straight up game of SEIV Gold V1.78 (Gold Patch 2), with as few restrictions or special rules as I can reasonably allow.

All players are welcome. With 10 starting planets in a large galaxy and with only 5 total players in the game, you "should" have ample time to prepare your self. The map will be randomly generated. Turns will normally have a 72 hour duration. The game will begin when we have 5 players or Jan. 3, which ever comes first.

Notes and Specials:

* Role-play is not a must but feel free to do so if you wish. However, do not force the issue on an unwilling player.

* Due to a bug, Temporal Weapons are Banned. The tech itself is not, note that you will only gain the facilities from research of that race tech field.

* Surrender only to the player or players who beat you. If more than one player is destroying your empire please post in the forum before surrendering and we will work out a fair split of your remaining assets. Do not surrender to your ally out of spite.

* Duplicate ship-sets are not desirable. If you forget to designate your ship-set when uploading your empire, please post in the game forum thread so other players will know.

* I can tell you now that the game will be set to after Last player upload only from Dec. 20 until January 3 to allow for the Holidays. This means we will proceed at the pace players are able during that time.

The game forum is open to all. Therefore if you have any concerns or questions before joining feel free to ask questions there. Please only join if you want to play and can meet the turn limit during normal times. That is it. See you in game.

I am still seeking players for this game.

I do not know if I have made a newb mistake in game settings which deters many of you from joining or if a simple game is just not interesting enough.

Some people may be waiting for the next patch to fix Temporal before they start a new game (despite no-one knowing how close the patch is).

I'm near my limit for the number of PBW games I can handle at the moment, myself.

When seeking a game to join at PBW, every game I looked at wanted to use a "hook" or disallow something be it mines, intel, tech trades and gifts, ruins, do away with random maps, force you to play in teams, use various mods etc... I could go on.

My creation of this game was a mini protest . A simple, straight up, beer and pretzel match, where you could play against humans in a game similar to what you might play against the AI at home. Straight SEIV Gold fresh out of the pLastic wrapper and hopefully easy for any player to get into and enjoy.
