Yes, I made the WP mounts equal to base mounts ages ago. It's only logical and helps the AI to defend planets. Haven't done the PDC mounts, but have considered it. For a planet or a base it probably makes sense. For a ship it would probably waste PDC fire on distant seekers attacking other ships.
