Heres my testimony - I tried it and I learned a lot about the game in just a short while. And even more about modding.

You know, if you are going to come in (which you should), you have to stay for more than a minute. People in there aren't just staring at the screen waiting for you to show up.

Well, some of us don't have hours to just sit there and wait for someone to notice us. We have lives and stuff like that.

Ok. Wait for like 5 minutes then. When using MSN/AOM/ICQ/Yahoo, do you sign in, see noone talks to you, then sign off within 1 minute? No, I didn't think so. Why would you do the same thing with IRC?
