Re: Make me a signature or... something
A slipping gear could let your M203 grenade launcher fire when you least expect it. That would make you quite unpopular in what's left of your unit. - the Army's magazine of preventive maintenance.
holy crap thats awesome

Re: Make me a signature or... something
I just poped in and browsed this thread and caught a few Posts about the good old days of 300 baud modems... aaaah my eyes glazed over and I flashed back to the very first file I downloaded from a BBS.. a musical tune called 'Passionately' that ran on my old Atari800 computer. A while back I found the file on one of those retrogamming sites and booted up an atari emulator and played it again for the first time,.. sweet and catchy tune. I liked it so much I captured the sound and created an mp3 of it. Now I can listen to it anytime and don't have to run an emulator to do it! ..my eyes come back in focus.. where am I? Oh, was I babbling again, sorry!
..Yes I know I'm a goof, but I'm a good goof!
Cheers!

David, talking about 300 baud can have that effect on you! Don't remember anyone saying you're a goof! Even if you are. Don't remember anyone saying it! There isn't a thing wrong with being a goof. I speak from first hand experience!

Re: Make me a signature or... something
Instar, when I look at (and while I made) your avatar I thought,...{there you are Instar, a bonified Doomaholic frozen in time behind a clear glass retrobubble. Your glowing eyes staring out at the future that quickly joins you in the past. Taking pride in knowing that Doom is the father of all 3D shooters..} Ok, a little thick, but fun no?
When Doom came out, I was the resident deathmatch champion where I worked. In one massive weekend- long marathon of Doom-Deathmatch play, I came out on top with 3201 Total kills, my nearest competitor had 621 kills. I never killed from the same place twice in a row and never hovered at the entrence point. That was great fun!
Cheers!

Re: Make me a signature or... something
The remark about being a goof was in response to the gremlin that hides behind my back, it's called a whosit. Or.. I was talking to myself again! .. "What's that? (turning to catch a glimpse of the gremlin.) don't get me started, maybe I can't turn around fast enough to see you but I can still Fart with the best of them!" (hmm the gremlin seems strangely quiet all of a sudden!)
..don't mind me, I'm suffering from Avatar fever!

Re: Make me a signature or... something
Holy crap 3201 kills is insane... have you seen the shots for Doom 3? I want to cream my pants every time. I hope my spiffy GF4 Ti can run it!
Im a good FPS player, but 100 is hard enough! let alone 3200!
Then again, I never kept count. I am the master of UT2k3 so I guess I have a ton of kills.
man
I got a Doom emulator and the wads... played them all over again, just for fun
Heck Id venture into saying the Doom is in part one reason for the ultimate success of PC games!
