Re: Race Ages (Direct from the .exe file)
First off, I have no intention of spreading the information of how to view the code.
Secondly, I will not EVER use a "Reverse Engineered" executable in ANY game where it is not openly known and available to ALL parties.
(This is really only for a closed group of players).
I agree there are plenty of MOD's here, and it is not my intention to ruin anyone's game.
Imperator Fyron is correct, I can find no bonus given in the code for race age.
If I find any other game related information in the exe, I will post it.

Dunno...hacking into the exe to answer questions about the game which we probably wouldn't otherwise get is fine by me.

But doing that ruins some of the suprise about the game. For me I like to play the game and see what happens if I do this, or if I do that. That is part of the whole fun of the game.
You could liken it to the Tech tree. Even though most noobies want to see a tech tree before the research anything, I like to find out for myself what I get if I research a certain area.
But that is just my opinion.

Does 5,001 Infantile mean that your new race has to exist for 5,001 years to go from newborn to Infantile? Or is it 5,001 turns? In either case, it will take a super long game to get to Stellar Ancients!

Re: Race Ages (Direct from the .exe file)
No, it means you need 5001 experience points. Each tech level you research gives 1, each facility gives 1, each ship you build gives tonnage / 10, untis give nothing, and you get some for destroying enemy ships. There are probably a few other things that get you experience too.
Kwok, my stellar ancients file was only made for my RP purposes.

Re: Race Ages (Direct from the .exe file)
ive gotten thru God-Like from normal play. have not seen stellar ancients yet, but i have not been playing as many long games lately.
while the Last thing i want to see is cracked exe's Online and people using them in multiplayer games, there is nothing wrong with hacking code in the privacy of ones home. if someone wants to make a benign mod that changes the gameplay, more power to them. If its totally benign and it gets published to the community, thats probably a slippery slope that we should not start down..
..but if someone wants to hack at home can can still play an honest game Online, i will still welcome them into my games.
