Default Re: Multiplayer TCP or IPX?

Being bored at work, and feeling a little infantile, I will take up the chant, (picture in your mind John Belushi in Animal House saying Toga! Toga! Toga!).

We want TCP/IP multiplayer!
We want TCP/IP multiplayer!
We want TCP/IP multiplayer!
We want TCP/IP multiplayer!
We want TCP/IP multiplayer!

Please for give me, I usually have slightly more witty things to say, but I am suffering from long term sleep deprivation from staying up WAY too late for WAY too many consecutive nights playing just one more turn of SEIV.

Yeah, the advantage over pbem is faster
turns. And some of it can be simultaneous,
rather than a hotseat type of game (well, depending on the implementation of the game).
MOO II was great that way...played hundreds
of turns in a day...until the thing crawled
to a halt or crashed...

Even Call to Power II (not an outstanding
game, but ok) is fun over a LAN. A little
slow because movement is serialized, but
planning/improvements and all the rest
can be done in parallel.

So I guess the answer is, there's no stated
plans for tcp/ip? I couldn't find anything
on the site anywhere that mentioned it.
