Pepys is brilliant stuff. Every now and again, he recounts his amorous adventures with various women. However, he was always worried his wife might read the diary, so those bits are always written in really bad french or latin so she wouldn't understand it. It cracks me up, because his english is very gentlmanly, but then he breaks into this incredibly lewd French...
