Actually I couldn't find a "buterfly/moth wing texture" to use or I would have, the wing textures are just the best I could find on my hardrive at the time(it's a wallpaper that came with windows XP). If anybody knows where I could find a free pattern I'd apreaciate a link greatly. I'm not even sure what to search for on google... Also I didn't want you average butterfly patterns I wanted something a little freaky but I can't seem to find exactly what I need, anyone know of a big, free, image archive I can sort through, maybe something with desktopbackgrounds or something...
The wings were hard to figure out, there aren't many "rounded" parts in Doga, so I flattened Tank part #62 to about .10 or.05 scale on it's Y axis and it worked for me.
And Here's my overall plan, I'm going to have different kinds of butterfly/moths, combat sizes will have redish/orange wings and non-combat transports will be blue/green or maybe purple(puple possibly for carriers). the combat ships will carry "cucoons"(like the chrisalis, maybe a little different with each class) which are bristling with weapons and such and the bigger the cucoon the bigger the ship class, the biggest sizes requiring several flies to pull them. the Idea is that they can escape their planets gravity, and they "breed" ships for this purpose, the little cattepillar in the cucoon is like the crew of the ship(gunner/scanner ect.) and the fly is the pilot/navigator and the cucoon is the biological hardware,(the weapons, electrical equipment, armor, and you get the Idea). They are again Psychic and Organic.
