I really don't get why so many people seem to hate this excellent game. They seem to treat it as though the developers personally insulted them when they made a sequel.

Sorry I didnt like it. I think the main reason is that it has no movement grid(hexes) in strategic and tactical combat. (AoW I did have this) Therefore its difficult to calculate unit movement several turns in advance. And a second reason is that it has not really much flair for me. (no naming terrain or cities etc.) I have other problems with the game (like unbalanced spells etc.) but the above are the major ones.

BTW I am never insulted just because some developers make a game.
