IMHO, the ships I mentioned below just seem to have too many things sticking out of the main hull. I think they would look a lot better if those hardpoints were to be reduced.

Not really. The ships need to be masked in too many places for a background to work.

i dunno, TC. I think they look okay. do you want them to be bigger around, instead of wider? or taller, maybe?
