Great, you have Rock.... This will play nicely. Be patent and trade for Ice when they are Receptive… (trust me)
Also, don’t talk to them much either, remember they are Xenophobes and you will get to Receptive diplomatic relations sooner if you leave them alone!

Also use your [Change formation\strategy] to change Fleet orders to tell your Fleet Admirals what to do in combat....

I disagree; some of the default settings in Strategies are extremely poor choices, and should be changed as soon as you assign a ship that strategy, if not sooner.

Agreed Capnq.
How ever this is his first real game just from finishing off the SE4 tutorial, so I figured we would stick to basics.
