There is a good modding tool in this thread here that allows for more visual modding of the files:

Do you mean, my post makes it sound like this, or do you mean, the lack of response makes it sound like this? If the former, I will have to try to re-explain that phrase "in no time", or maybe get someone that speaks German to explain it in German to you. If the latter, that is probably because there are not as many people that enjoy modding AIs are there are that enjoy modding the data files. If you post any specific questions, they will certainly be answered.

SE4 Modding 101 does not address AI modding at all, just the rest of the modding aspects.

Thanks, I will try this mod pack but I'm very interested in learning AI modding.

Well, currently i have no chance to upload any pictures so I can't show you the shipset graphics.
Anyway, it's just a first try. I am an experienced "ST-Armada" Modder , but Se4 is a new challenge.

Btw, is there any website which collects modding Se4 stuff?
I think what Imperator Fyron was trying to say, was that if you ask more specific questions, they will be answered in very little time (frequently have several within 30 min). However, asking for help on the AI text files is very large and difficult to answer; would take several pages of replys from multiple people to get the overview on it completely as you are talking about up to 13 files. I think its probably the easiest to start with modding the AI_General, AI_Research, and AI_DesignCreation files, and add the others later. The AI_General, and AI_Research are fairly simple to figure out from the information in the default files, and here is a like to a cheat sheet I made for the DesignCreation file that may help yopu with that file.

If you have more specific questions on files, just ask them and they should be answered quickly. Otherwise, just asking for help with the AI files is extremely difficult, because there is so much in them, and I believe that even the best AI modders here only half understand the files at best, which is why the AI isn't as good as we would like.

Also look at the AI Creation thread currently going, Rexx posted a link to an older thread about AI modding tips.
