Only 6 months?? I've had the game for nearly a year, and until recently, I was either playing the game as much as I could, or downloading the latest patch/race/mod for the game. I still have the original 0.51 demo Version zip files. (The download was in 1.44 MB pieces.) The longest time that I have not played Space Empires is 2 weeks.
