New PBEM game

Are there any PBEM games I can join?? I want to play multiplayer so bad, but I have never been able to get onto the BPW site, it never loads for me because of my network or something. send mail to politicue@yahoo.com; good for any type of game, with whatever settings.

you really need to connect to the PBW site.
What is the error message you get ?

I am sure we'll find some people here able to help you.

BTW, Master of Orion 3, a newbie PBW is in recruiting phase.

But it would be much easier if you could connect to the PBW.

If there is a downside to the popularity of PBW, it is that it pretty much killed off the use of PBEM. I hope you can rectify your problem connecting to PBW cause you are going to have trouble finding a straight PBEM game. There's a SEIV PBEM newsgroup on Yahoo, but I haven't seen anyone post to it in a long time. You might be able to find some people interested in playing TCP/IP, if that's an option for you.

I'm opent to additional players to play test the Gryphin Mod. Keep in mind that a game might go 10 to 20 or 30 turns and we start over with the next Version of the mod which usualy is same thing with more components.
The most popular elements so far are a
Scout that can fit 3 engines and use "stealth plating" that is available on turn one. This allows early exploration without the threat of getting shot up by local AI.

There is also a Space Bouy that is very small and cheap. You can't put anything in it but it does help to keep track of the systems you explore.
Along with this is a Component that will only launch 1 sat at a time. It is a good idea to drop these in Opaque storms.

This gives you a way unfair advantage over the AI *shrug* If you combine it with Ancient Race and emergancy build your expansion is very very fast.

I just get the page can not be displayed error from IE. I have nevre been able to load the site, maybe it is cuz of the network my computer is on or something. I am sick of playing against some stupid AI though. Its more work trying not to become the evil empire than anything else. Ah well I am going to change my ISP soon maybe then I can play. and when I can... oh hooo
be afraid!

You could try going to the text Version of PBW direct by going to http://seiv.pbw.cc/text/index.jsp

If you wish to turn off the Evil Empire setting, which I always do, open the 'settings.txt' file within the 'data' directory and change the following line to false.
AI Uses Mega Evil Empire := False

If you're interested to join a PBW game, check "New Dawn".
Some people says the admin player is cool.
