Re: Worst "oops" moments in PBW?
So I have planet with Launch Mines and then Repeat Orders to save on micromanagement. Works great. But then, I build a resource converter there. I convert some resources, no problem. Next round, I give another conVersion order. Problem is, the first one is still there from repeat build. No wonder why I was having resource problems!

Slick, I agree with you.
We "know" we should know better and still we made the mistake.
Maybe what we are doing now is a form of penance not unlike donning a hair shirt and flogging ourselves around time square in medieval times.

Re: Worst "oops" moments in PBW?
Two things... somewhat already touched on:
1. Trying to figure out why a ship did not obey the orders I knew I gave... freaking out and firing the ship commander... then I realize I did not "Cancel" the previous Sentry order already attached to the ship/fleet (before assigning the new order)! This was frustrating as a noob.
2. Trying to build units on a space yard ship or space yard base... designed without a cargo area. Just doesn't work.

-Does- work if you have something else in the sector with cargo room. Just in case someone gets confused.

Re: Worst "oops" moments in PBW?
I usually play with the Natural Merchants advanced trait. So, like I am 50+ turns into the game with colonies in a dozen systems… then I remember that I am not playing with the Natural Merchants trait in THIS game.

Re: Worst "oops" moments in PBW?
At the start of this thread, I said my wife cloaked her fleet, including her Sweepers.
Guess who just did that in 2 PBW games at the same turn?
The first game processed and I saw the results, and had enough time to undo my turn for the second game and then in a rush to get the turn done before the deadline, forgot to move my ships...
