Re: (OT) How many times have you moved?
I've moved four times in five years. I'll probably move again next year, in my own flat this time. As I leave in one of the most pleasant places on earth, I'll stay in the neigbourhood, this time !

Re: (OT) How many times have you moved?
I think I can beat you all if not in numbers than in total mileage
"Local" Russia : Samara - Moscow - Pushchino (small town in Moscow region)
Russia-USA-Russia-USA : Pushchino - Seattle (as student) - back to Pushchino - back to Seattle
"Local" USA : Seattle - Austin (TX)
USA - UK : Austin - Manchester.
I HATE moving !!!
Oh, and I moved few times inside towns - 3 times in Seattle and two times in Austin. But that does not count.

Re: (OT) How many times have you moved?
Once as a small child (San Antonio, TX to Colorado Springs, CO) (1).
I moved from my parent's house to an apartment with my first roommates (2). Then out of that apartment and into another (3). Then from that apartment into a rental house (4). Then from that rental house into another (5). Then recently from that rental house into my own house (6).
That's all.

Darn, and I was so set on giving detailed statistics on how many times I move during sex (a dwindling graph that somehow mimics my growth in age... )
Otherwise...since I spent 20 years in the army, I figure I have a pretty good rating on moves AND distance.
BTW, our cat became a world traveler, too, racking up nearly 30,000 miles traveled!

And she never got lost somewhere? Cool. I'm watching reruns of "Airport" on TV and it's amazing that luggage arrives at the correct place if you see what happens sometimes.

Yeah, these days, you can take pets inside but in THOSE days, you had to let pets travel in cargo. "Rat" (Rattan) was the greatest cat we ever owned (or that owned us). Even though Siamese cats have reputations as being a bit ornery, Rat was like a dog...if you sat down, he was on your lap...if you layed down, he was on your chest.
I got him as a gift for my wife in Augsburg, Germany, but it seemed he took a real liking to me.
(OK, enough about a cat... )
