(OT) How many times have you moved?

True but i'm not used to such distances. Like i said, belgium is a very small country.

Oh yeah 1000 km = 621.371192237334 miles

I use Metric Converter to do these kind of conVersions. It's a very small and handy app. It converts speed, acceleration, volume,... To much to mention.

Or you could do it the old way as for every mile you go you travel 1.6 KM. So just take 1000KM and devide that by 1.6. It came out with 625 miles which is not 100% accurate according to your calculations but it was close.

Good luck minipol... I just dug my heels in as well. It feels like I struck gold - but - goodness gracious, the work never stops. I hope you have some favors to call friends on- to help out with some of the bigger projects.

Take your time. From what I hear the house will take you about 2 years to get it where you like it.

i've moved twice back in Ukraine, then i moved to israel. There we moved twice and then we moved to Canada. Now we're here.

Hehehe good one. Yeah something like that. We are doing it in steps but we are going to live in it even while it's not finished. I'm so happy i can move that i even would have been happen if i moved to a cave (as long as it has internet connection :-)

We had some friends over to paint but there are reprecussions in doing so. If 10 people come over to help this will probably mean you will need to help those 10 people somewhere in the future too and since i don't like painting to begin with, i took the easy way out: i painted everything myself

It doesn't look to bad although an experienced painter might laugh at my "accomplishmlents" but "i did it my way"

So, how many years are you going to be painting ?

Just finished painting... except for touch-ups. Who knows when I'll get to them? Probably after the shoe molding.

We lived in here amongst boxes for quite a bit. A few of them still serve as furniture. So funny: we got a Tiffany's vase as a special present... and we'll probably put it on a cardboard box...

My family has done the big move, from London to Melbourne, Via LA airport. I was surprised they allowed us on the plane with the amount of Coats, Bags & electrical goods (2 laptops, 2 Walkmans, 2 mobiles, Portable Sterio) that we were carrying.

Of course it helped having an International Pilot as a friend, who was bringing us bags for months...

Chances are you will never get to them, because you always find another job that needs to be done first.
