On the bright side, I got a new harddrive today thanks to a generous donation. I will be making a duplicate of the PBW harddrive and sending it to another generous soul. This should allow us to set up a backup PBW site in a different location. If all goes well we will have the backup site up and running by this weekend. That is assuming that the DSL is not up and running tommorow afternoon.
So PBW hopefully will be back up tomorow, or this weekend.

Re: PBW Down? - Back up!
Finally some good news.
The DSL is back up and running. We are able to connect to the internet. You will find you still cannot connect to PBW. The reason for this is that during the initial troubleshooting one of the things they had me do was default the router configuration. So when I get home this evening I have to set that back up. But once that is done PBW should be back up.
So you all have a few more hours to say your goodbyes to your wife and kids before returning to the depths of your addiction.

Well, us nosey bastards want to know what the problem was that took nearly 3 weeks and various combinations of techs.

I'd like to know too. They didn't say, but I'll try to find out. I need to call in tonight and let them know it's working and all at my end. All they knew for sure Last time I talked to them was it was working at their end.

Re: PBW Down? - Back up!
If they stutter and pause during the explanation, you can be sure it was because of something simple they forgot to check some other time...

And they didn't check the simple things because it was easier to blame the guys from the other company. Therefore you needed a meeting of both of them just to make sure they *really* started checking everything.
