Re: Treban Kendia Tregwal Wars
Well... with how it works, only admins can do that... I will be looking for a new module that allows user submissions at some point. But for now, just email new content to fanfic at spaceempires dot org.

Re: Treban Kendia Tregwal Wars
Three Contacts, Three Enemies
2400.7
I received a message the new leader of Amachi Kendia late this month. It said, "I am handing over a report of your location to Alyden Tregwal."
The message was transmitted by an unarmed explorer ship that had found our system, and apparently they have found Alyden Tregwall.
Everything is going perfect, the Alyden will come to us and we will destroy them.
The first Death Colony has been set up, we are still determining where to focus our efforts as far as the new colonies' development.
2400.8
Alyden Tregwall and Hegessger Tregwal send Messages telling me Gweld Gath is an abomination. Those two are so focused on us that they will find themselves falling behind.
Gweld Gath continues to not care about all these distant declarations. We have finalized the Death Slammer, which is excellent for both planetary and ship to ship combat. For ship to ship combat, the Death Slammer is equipped to ram its target, whereas napalm is used for planetary targets.
Amachi's weaponless explorer is trying to blockade us, but they have simply been added to our list of targets.
The key to victory will be the quick destruction of the enemies economic power, meaning their homeworld. Napalm is the best way to do that.
Lich is keeping the officers who are now vying for the first captaincies well trained and well motivated. Lich says we will tear the heart from our enemies.
Lich is my closest companion, and we discuss many things. We both agree negativity is unneccesary and harmful to the clans morale.

Re: Treban Kendia Tregwal Wars
2401.2
Things are heating up here on homeworld, we've been blockaded, we've seen a million people die on our colony from a suicidal Alyden captain, and we are building Death Bases now to compete with all three enemies. Among them, the clerics are most rabid.
An unarmed exploration ship slammed into our colonial world on purpose, disrupting operations there and killing Lich and Chieftain on that world.
Amachi is the wisest of the three clans, they have pulled back since our first encounter, which will put them in good position regardless of whether Hegessger and Alyden defeat us or not.
There is some unspecified war going on, that distracts Alyden and Hegessger for the moment, I am pretty sure of it. Explorer ships are best used to continue exploring, unless you think you won't be back for a while, and don't care.
Exploration doesn't matter so much in an all out war like this, and I know the clerics of Alyden and their ally Hegessger will go all out to destroy us, and whomever else they are fighting.
I can only imagine Tyvalger, Diluger or Avren Gath as enemies of Alyden. If we can find those three, the scales would be tipped in our favor. Avren Gath once was the sole place of Necromancy, before our clan was commissioned.
They are mages in search of unlimited power, and the most likely to be our allies in the long run. They know that alliances are crucial, so many clans had friendships and emnities before escaping into space, and those will be reflected in the coming war.
The lack of pressure on our system gives us the opportunity to drastically raise our ship construction capability with Death Bases. If i can get six or seven death bases building slammers, we will be able to fight effectively.
Death Slammer design:
engines
control
supply
Planetary Napalm
Plague Weaponry
Explosive Warhead
This is all fitted on a transport hull, but it is no peaceful ship, not that those exist for us. The Clerics of Alyden have unleashed suicidal tactics, but they are our specialty.
A couple slammers can condemn any planet to slow or fast death.

Re: Treban Kendia Tregwal Wars
2401.8
Things seem to be escalating towards a Great Galactic War. I've finally acquired the information on Alyden's activities, and formed alliances with Avren Gath and Tyvalger.
Our Death Slammer obliterated a colonies population on the outskirts of Gath Hegessger's home system, thats when we met Tyvalger. They were blockading Gath Hegessgers' homeworld.
Since then we've built more Death Slammers, but the missile batteries on planet have stopped all our attempts at conquest. We have been working closely with Tyvalger, but just recently Gath Hegessger changed strategy, building ships instead of missile batteries. Now we have to try to disable their ships while staying away from their planet, which is difficult. Gath Hegessger has a breathing space at the moment, but I intend to press onward.
While this was going on, an Avren Gath ship warped in, with news of grave importance. Avren Gath has defended our ways in a long siege against plain Hegessger (paladins), not to be confused with Gath Hegessger (war magi), and Alyden.
The two assailants have also lost many ships, but Avren Gath is in a worse position than our siege on Gath Hegessger.
So it looks to be forming up as Tyvalger, Gweld Gath and Avren Gath against Gath Hegessger, Hegessger and Alyden.
The main thing in common on our side of the alliance, is all three of our guilds were hated in the old world. We learned to be stealthy because of this.
We are working on a Death Interrupter ship next, it is focused on missile defense a bit more. Missiles are the predominant weapon, excepting some specialties such as our plague weapons. From what Avren Gath says, Napalm has been in wide use by Hegessger.
If either side can finish off the siege it will be bad news. We have to blockade Gath Hegessger again to prevent them from altering the balance of power.
But there are many tactics, if we move our forces to Avren Gath's system we could clear them out, and allow Avren Gath to recover. But that would make us vunerable to an attack by the war magi.

Re: Treban Kendia Tregwal Wars
Kisana's vision and the Barbarian-Empath war
(Or, Diluger-Partani war)
"Kisana, we have plans for building better boarding parties. And Ambassador reports they have made contact with Diluger."
"I dreamt of a war unknown to us, that could cost billions of lives, it was between Alyden and Gweld Gath, but they each have allies now. Then in my dream I turned to see construction centers being built, preparations made for a long term large scale war on us, the Last thing I see was the Barbarian crest of old. If we prepare troops and boarding party ships, supply ships and troop ships, we have a chance to defeat them with our touch powers, but they have many more options than we do, only because they are preparing for a long war do we have a chance."
"Give all the ships missile defense, Kisana, that is crucial, missiles are the best way to defend a planet. And we need lots of troops."
"The best thing to do will be to capture the construction bases they have and use them for our purposes."
"Empaths' at war, just shows how fractured our old society is these days. We used to help all of them."

Re: Treban Kendia Tregwal Wars
Predictions of the Council of 3 of Avren Gath
In a message to Chieftain of Gweld Gath
Avren sent me a message, on 2402.7,
while I have been arranging for large scale construction of war equipment. This process continues unabated, we do not have much time left. Avren Gath is in severe trouble, Gath Hegessger broke our siege and now sieges our second ally Tyvalger. My worlds are the only chance that is left for Merauds' Alliance.
Meraud is the god of ends without consideration of means, the god of knowledge pursued in any manner possible. Avren's message follows:
"Four members of the council of 7 have been killed by cleric assassins placed during earlier unsuccessful bombardments, the paladins do not attack us using those means.
The Council of 3 have had a vision, the paladins are finally ready to destroy us. They have the means. Then the ways of Avren Gath, the ways of moon magic and temporal magic, they will vanish. With the siege of Tyvalger in progress as well, I want to give you some important information, for history if you succeed in repelling the attackers. The odds are not in your favor, but you still have a chance.
Avren Gath was the first in space, we knew the stars well before anyone else, it was Tyvalger in conjunction with their enemy Menger who teamed up to steal our plans. Menger sold the plans to everyone else, giving a cut of the profits to Tyvalger. As you know, six of us ended up nearby. The members of both alliances make up those six.
Amachi ended up much further away, the rest we don't know. Likely in the south, somewhere. Even if you defeat your current enemies, still Amachi, Diluger and Partani remain, you are the most widely hated among the other guilds, but fate left Avren Gath squeezed between three enemies, while you are in a good position to make logistics difficult for your enemies. Only the war magi have a direct route to you."
We may still have time to rescue both allies, if we can build an effective ship to ship design and get enough of them built in time. If it doesn't work, they still will have to travel a ways to reach our planets.
(A legend for those confused:
1. Gweld Gath Treban Death Mage or Necromancer
(This guild is still only in planning in the actual MMORPG)
2. Alyden Tregwal Cleric
3. Telger Kendia Ranger
4. Hegessger Tregwal Paladin or Knight
5. Tyvalger Treban Thief
6. Diluger Treban Barbarian
7. Avren Gath Kendia Moon Mage
8. Menger Tregwal Trader
9. Gath Hegessger Tregwal War Mage or Magic Knight
10. Amachi Kendia Bard or Bardess
11. Partani Kendia Empath or Healer

Re: Treban Kendia Tregwal Wars
The crazied thing just happened, by some sort of event, a Barbarian construction base warped all the way across the galaxy into the Cleric home system. And the barbarians have a HUGE bonus to attack(in Dragonrealms barbarians kick everyone elses' butt majorly).
Talk about flukes changing the course of history. Never seen bases move with an event, only ships.
