Re: NEW -- Space Empire Galaxies
Oh dear. I was getting Tesco's site, although it was extremely choppy. Hope everything's alright there. I also hope that you won't mind if my empire is a human culture. I know homo sapiens is prosaic, but I have trouble getting into the role of aliens, and I don't think folks would enjoy it as much if I tried. I'll make one more go at getting the mod, then call it a night.
nnnnope. Definitely no mod for me today. And I was all excited too... Thanks anyway, Kwok.

Re: NEW -- Space Empire Galaxies
I'm sorry Orev Saara, but we've specified no human races in SE: Galaxies. But, feel free to play a human-like race if you want, there's nothing wrong with that! Just don't base your race on some group of humans that left Earth etc, blah, blah, blah. We're going for a bit more creativity here!
If se.net doesn't come back by later today, then I'll provided access to the ladder mod via my site.

Of course, if I knew how to read, I'd have noticed that before. Oh, well. Honestly, my biggest problem is coming up without a name that doesn't sound stupid. Also, it seems that there is still trouble down spaceempires.net way.
The irony is that I haven't played Space Empires in about two months, and I haven't posted here in much longer. I happen to look around just in time for something cool to pop up, and a divine bolt of lightning strikes spaceempires.net.

Re: NEW -- Space Empire Galaxies
Oh yes, names are such a pain to make out. Random generators might be useful there with some changes afterwards.
As for history, you could consider such questions: for how long your species has been developed? (That is also the length of their history) Were they people waging wars or more peaceful folks, asking questions before killing? Did they discover space travel centuries ago or was it only a recent discovery? Were there changes in the society, the behaviour, the beliefs, along the course of history? A turning point in history?
I tend to believe the Biologic part is the hardest, what can you say about the organism of an alien species? There isn't much to say usually, except if your Empire is featuring subspecies for instance. Or perhaps I am not imaginative about such fields.
