I read that it had been tracked to a mainland subnet belonging to APN. If it came out of China, we will never be able to run the a$$ (government?) to ground.

Well then better start sending all the sneaky corporations to jail then. I too hate crap on my computer but 100% of the crap that gets into my computer is from scummy spyware, spam and such. Not to mention the crap MS puts on with windows that I don't want.

Hmm I wonder how much money was lost. One thing is certain is that companies always totally exagerate the amoutn lost by such things. Ever hear how much some companies claimed to have lost as a result of Keven Mitnick's hacking? It's a f-ing joke. |

If the guy has any brains, he will co-operate with government and get few years sentence of "Do not touch computers" after which he will go into some company for IT security job or work for government to catch other crackers.

I doubt they will do much to bim, especially if he only had a minor part in it. What I dont get is people dont seem to care about "other people" properity. I would never F with my buddies computer, because I wouldnt want anyone to come around messing with mine. Must be the old fashion value's again *sigh*
