Default OT Help with network problem

Help!

I'm trying to get SE4 working on TCP/IP conecting through a router and can't do it because the other guy can't even ping me.

I have winME So I don't think I have any built in firewall enabled. I have a Linksys router (model BEFW11S4 V.2) and have enabled the DMZ host thing as per their FAQ. Still does not work.

Both players have to have the DMZ enabled, no firewalls interfering and such. Are you running any software firewalls? How about your friend? Try killing those if so. Make sure your friend enables DMZ and such on his hardware firewall (if he has one).

Not too familiar with various brands of routers nor and I familiar with playing TCP/IP. My router has NAT on it, so if you have something like that (DMZ?), maybe that's your problem.

I can ping my friend so I assume his computer is setup OK. But no one seems to be able to ping me. I've had 3 people try now. Some not behind a router or fire wall. According to the Linksys help DMZing should allow people to ping me but it does not.
