Anyone still play SEIV Gold unmodded?

Practically every game I play is unmodded. 99% of the KOTH games are unmodded. The PBW tourney is unmodded.

I haven't taken a "stroll" through the PBW games in progress but if your point is that you are having a hard time finding an unmodded game to play in, perhaps you haven't looked hard enough.

That's odd. SE is a very low end software. You should be able to find some second-hand, 3-5 years comp under $200 that would play SEIV just fine !

You misunderstand me. My computer can handle SEIV with no problems. My problem is the lack of time to play it. I'm just saying that when I'm d/l, since I'm using dial-up, it takes awhile for a 10-20 meg program to d/l. so while I"m waiting for that, I'll play SE. I can't think of too many other games that will let you play and be connected at the same time (except maybe those that are geared for multi-play, but I don't play mp games).

Buy broad-band and you SE time will cut short. I wonder, is it a new good line for TV commercials ?

Since I am still learning SEIV, can you guys give me a feel for what playing with the TDM mod is like? I have only been playing it unmodded except for shipsets so far.

TDM plays just like stock SE4, as there are no modded data files (other than the formations file). It just has much more competent AIs.
