2 mo on a Amiga? But you were rich! I only had 512ko or so with my Amiga 600. But that's another story.
Firebird takes less than 10 mo on disk, and still it uses more than 40 mo in memory according to the figures given by Windows. Agreed, my computer is likely to be responsible for that situation as well.

IE 5.5 will run on a 98 system with 32 megs of ram, no problem. I have it on over a 100 98 systems with 64 megs at work.
There is something wrong with the system if it is generating errors like that. Check the page file and then make sure the hard drive has room on it.

I run win 98 with the IE that comes with it on my 8M laptop without problems.
I'd try a reinstall first....
Edit: Ok it was win95 then, not 98... (Don't use it that often...)
