Wow what a big map - what is the absolute upper limit in terms of the amount of sectors or planets that is able to put via a map editor and playable in the game. I found my game sometimes locks up at the more advanced stages of the game with a map that has quite a few black holes (perhaps i should leave these out ?)

Hmm... sweet. Only took 20 seconds for me, but that's most likely due to the 750MB free RAM

Wow i really need to upgrade my system (64MB of ram on a 533 system) really old 3 years old - adding another 128MB ram next week and eventually the processor graphics card and motherboard. SO it should run quickly.
Something id like to see in SE5 is more diverse and actually a extra huge map with 800 Plus solar systems.

255 systems is the limit, with at least 255 objects in each.
If you've got the latest patch, and you manage to get a savegame that generates the lockup consistently, be sure to send it to Aaron.
You definitely need a savegame, though, or there is no chance of it being reproducable.
