Re: #se4 IRC
I have the same message, so whatever it is, we are in the same boat. The difference is that I can eventually log on. Could it be a problem with overseas Users? It doesn't seem too likely at all, but who said informatics was to make any sense?
Nobody else seems to have the same error by the looks of it. Hmm... Incidentally, is this hostname the one of the server, or the one of the client?

Re: #se4 IRC
I dunno.
I live in Canada, so it's probably not location.

Re: #se4 IRC
Ah, but do not underestimate the Canadian plot. Several hard drives went down with all hands in Canada, hence highlighting the presence of *something* disturbing computers in Canada.
Why does it strike me? The explanation is very simple: on a rainy day, some Frenchmen decided to settle in a part of Canada, for the sake of bothering the rest of Canada. So either they brought this computer disease with them, or it was something along the lines of a vengeance.
Well, at least I am helping you keep this thread as visible as possible Narf. Who knows? Someone with an actual, plausible idea might pop in and give you the answer you are seeking (I think that looking for the product of 6 and 9 might be helpful to you. Well, perhaps not though).

Re: #se4 IRC
The Canadian conspiracy has a long reach then. Silliness aside, it doesn't work for me either at the moment of the writing.
My newest theory is that Gamesurge doesn't work when the hour is even. When it is, for example, 4:56 pm, it will not work. It works fine at 4:55 pm or 4:57 pm though. In other words, it seems like a temporary glitch that is somehow resolved without any reason.

Re: #se4 IRC
I was there earlier today, (around 4:30pm) and got on with no problems. So I can attest that it has nothing to do with any 'Canadian Phenomenon'. But it's interesting that some people would think us so powerful as to affect IRC chanels this way.
Cheers!

Re: #se4 IRC
but I got it to work by changing from irc.gamesurge.net to irc.US.gamesurge.net. Maybe it's just the irc.gamesurge.net that's failing....
