Technology trades

The more you are closer to patnership the more you know about the other empires tech levels. Or it could be the amount of time as well!
Any way just look at them and go to tech field and ask for what you want in trade for what they don't have.
But a field saying trade all tech for your all tech would be handy.

there is an any field, which means you go back and forth till the "any" has been resolved.

You can always put "any tech" as what you want to trade for, but in my games I find it more fun to close off technology gifts/tributes/trades entirely from play, theres and option for that in the game set-up.

Without tech trades of any kind you can only steal/gain a players technology by getting your hands on one of their ships and taking it to a shipyard to be analyzed.
