Planetarion was Fast CGI I played four rounds of it.

Not to say it can't be done in php, any server-side language with database connection capabilities can do it. PA and the like are, in the words of Starsphere creator Morglum, "glorified spreadsheets" after all.

CGI? Computer Generated Images? It has been a long while since I played Planetarion, 2001, it had no images back then. But still a lot of fun.
