and no, emptyspace itself does not heat up, gases do and solid objects do even more effectivly (depending on there reflective properties or lack of)
so being outside your spaceship without protection (apart from exploading) you would cook if you were in full sunlight.
I dont think being cold is realy much of a problem in space, being hot is the problem.

Yes, the SUPER-NOVA EXTREME may be hot, but is it long Lasting? will this model meet my needs?

We could always plug in a bunch of Cadet heaters into solor generators and set them adrift in the solor system.
