Sig updated to remove non-working links.
I have been running a Multiplayer game on my PCs at home.
This Friday I put the patch in on both systems.
It updated Just fine.
I started the game, Nice Splash screen, and we tried to continue the Game.
Well my friend was able to bring up his turn on the remote system.
But when I tried to play My empire on the Host I got an error pop up.
It said something about the game having been started with different data files then the current ones. That I should contact the Host for help.
I AM the Host. What should I do??
For now I uninstalled SE4 and went back to 1.84. I will wait till this game is over and upgrade then.
The game is getting good. I am now moving against the Norak Continium.
The EEE are number two. I am now Number ONE !! My friend is only 6th.
All HAIL POWER MAN !!!
Sounds like you are playing TCP/IP, is that correct? If so you are going to have to play one turn via PBEM. Both of you will play your turns using 1.84, and then you will have to process the turn with those .plr files and using 1.91 Version. You should then be able to both jump back in and continue the game via TCP/IP under 1.91. At least that's how it worked with previous Versions. It's been a while since I've played a TCP/IP game.
