My 255 system map against the AI with 40 planets in each system (yep i made a map took a while) no other system types that is 10200 planets to play with - 20 players in it (19 AI) - that game is still going i now have about 100 systems and am about 1/3 through tech level and am fighting an alliance of tough buggers - evilEEE and another race i made called the human empire with strong psychic and research and construction (rapid research and ship building) - they are in an alliance and the going is tough - have made gains though.

Other smaller races i have the sergenti as allies and the terrians. Other than that not all the map is explored - but with 40 planets per system the amount of ships going around is huge - it takes a while to get through lol.

For me it was the first time I played to 100 turns in the demo. I had gotten the hang of the game and built up a pretty good fleet and was ready to invade. Then *POOF* game over What happened? What do you mean the demo stops at 100 turns?!!! I ordered the full Version immediately.

Paul, you could make a random map with 40 planets in each system by editing the first three systems to have 40 planets instead of 8 or so. This would be much easier than adding planets manually.

My favorite SEIV game?

I guess it was my first game of Devnull Mod against the Space Monsters. When they first came out they were too powerful and I eventually lost.
BUT I HAD GREAT FUN JUST TRYING TO SURVIVE!

Another is a game I played as solo empire against 19 TDM computer opponants on a Huge 200+ system map. Settings: Full AI, High Bonus, all AI vs human on, and I was placed almost dead-center of map. What a battle! Did I win? - well almost 1000 turns in and Im still trying!...

i suppose that the Play by Committee game has to rank up there, though recent events have kept me from looking at the past couple turns.

I'd have to say that my favorite PBW game was Diplowar II. A real pleasure to play in.
