Re: Star Trek, Quadrants of Conflict
 Noticed already !!
I looked at the map and rules again, and found it somewhat unbalanced for the Borg. Altough it got a good part of the space, it is not allowed to make any treaties. so it will lack the Borg of any trade. Because of the superiority of the Borg in the Star Trek Universe, I'm going to compensate the Borg with an Huge size Planet (It's not much but better than nothing)
I was also considering to give a Huge Planet to the Dominion, but want peoples opinion on this one (Renegade 13, I know your opinion already )

Re: Star Trek, Quadrants of Conflict
What you gonna do with Nausicaan? Drop 'em?
Edit: As for me it doesn't really matter what kind of Borg HW will be destroyed - large or huge.
Borg. Shall. Perish!!!!!!!!!
Dunno about Dominion - they are too far away.

Re: Star Trek, Quadrants of Conflict
Use a Small/Medium Ring World for Borg and a Small Ring World for Dominion?

Re: Star Trek, Quadrants of Conflict
Well, point is, as the brgs are soemtimes out there asimilating their fellow races, they should be some sort of advanced. therefore a small or normal ringworld woud fit fantastic for them, compensating for the lack of treaties and the adding to the fact that they are more( in trek tv much more advanced) than any other race.

Re: Star Trek, Quadrants of Conflict
Hi,
I agree with Blackrose and Heretic, but a medium sized Ringworld would be to much for the 3 minors surrounding the Borg.
And don't forget that 8472 was evenly advanced as the Borg, so we should give 8472 also an advantage. But do due to the game-engine such an advantage would be disastrous for the normal-majors in the alpha quadrant (I'm probalbly the first to encounter 8472 and the Borg, after the fleeing Hirogen )
So here is my Decision/proposal:
Borg : small Ringworld
8472 : Huge Planet
Dominion : Huge Planet
In this way their should be a possibility for the alpha-quadrant to survive the raging hordes from Delta and Gamma.
Intimidator,
Everybody who disagrees : please shoot (me)!!

Re: Star Trek, Quadrants of Conflict
Aiken : No i will not drop the Nausicaan.
I will create 2 more minors: the Nausicaan (Next to the Gorn) and the Ktarians(up north, but in alpha).
I will control the both of them for the first 2 turns, after that will let the AI handle them.
But hopefully there will be humans to take it over within 3 turns.
