Re: OT: (poll) - Imagine: It\'s a Party...Who to Invite?
In general I don't partisipate in this kind of thing as it might come across as a popularity contest but i did vote for myself and
Poo h Star.
Oh, and thanks to everyone else that did.

Hey Gryphin, do you still use any IM programs? How about logging on to #se4 again once in a while? You are missed.
Slynky, I am too poor to afford a lap top. And yes, I can definitely party. And as for these accusations of Windows ME... I have never actually even used the OS...

And, I apologize for that...
It was a poll partly in jest and partly in truth. For, IF there ever was such a party, these are the people I'd like to share it with.
You know, I used to be acitve in Mechwarrior. I wasn't great but I was OK. I was in a clan, like many many others were. We developed a bond. We shared a lot of things...personal things. AND, we desired to meet with each other if it was workable and possible. And, I did on 2 ocassions. I traveled a few hundred miles to meet with others in the clan. That was realy kewl!
So, though I post this list in fun, I really would like to see some kind of meeting develop somewhere. No one, especially those from out of country (USA), would be willing to come to Georgia but we (wifey and I) have access to a cabin on a lake. It sleeps 10 or so. I'd love to get a group together to have fun...but I'd never even attempt it.

Fire on, er Fyron, < My Bad >
I use YIM: Gryphin_Rampant
I have mIRC but it is just tooo much for me to keep up with.
I use Mozzila. How's the IRC client?
Other than that I have to admit I have not touched SEIV since soon after EDIE came out. I'm currently working on a collaboration to Mod EDEE and it is not even out yet.
I love SEIV. I really do. I just don't have the inttellect to keep up with it.
Here's an exapmple of how I think:
Without checking
How many Canadian Provinces have the same abriviations as US States?
How long did it take you to come up with the answer?
It took me less than 10 seconds yet there were 40 something people with Masters Degrees in the room who doubted my answer.
If you know the answer don't please don't post it.
I am curious. What is the thought process others used to come up with the answer?

Some of us forum guys in or near the Toronto region got together for a baseball game Last summer and hope to again in a couple of weeks. It was lots of fun.

LOL...
I didn't know about your monetary status...and as I'm sure you (and others) can determine, it was my feeble attempt at levity. I just wanted people to like the poll and laugh a bit.

Now, THAT was really nice, wasn't it? I envy that opportunity and I'd certainly travel a few hundred miles to partake of something like that.
After all, though not a Mechwarrior clan, so many of us have become "close" Internet friends through exchanges on this forum or in games.
