I go get some wood and procede to build Geo a nice new wall to wall, floor to ceiling unit to hold as many bottles of beer as I can.

Should I build this unit to stand the bottles on shelves? Or would it be better to make it like a wine rack and have the bottles lie down? And should I enclose the unit so that it can be refridgerated?

I vote for the wine rack; I think you can pack more bottles in that way. I'd go with the fridge, too.
