Creating stuff
I know its possible to create black holes, stars, etc.
But is there a way to mod a component to create things like ruptures, organic infestations, novae, etc?
It would really make things interesting to have these as gamemaster abilities in this game, so that I could simulate a horrible disaster at a research project which causes an entire system to dissapear into a spatial rupture... Or a runaway space virus consumes the planets of a system in an organic infestation...

Re: Creating stuff
It might be possible if you add a new kind of blackhole with the picture of an Organic Infestation. Then, destroy the star and run the turn until you have the wanted blackhole in the system.
Don't quote me on that though, since it is a rather clumsy workaround. You cannot directly add an Organic Infestation (or anything outside the abilities offered by Stellar Manipulation), but it may be possible if you create a "fake" blackhole.
Edit: Unless I am missing something, it doesn't work. No matter what, the game will use the "standard" blackhole, even when the only blackhole in the files is my fake blackhole, so it looks like it is hardcoded. Perhaps I would have more luck with fake "nebulaes"?

Hey! I don't like the sound of this. Especially since I think I know what you're up to

Re: Creating stuff
Heh, don't worry bearclaw, looks like i can't do it anyway. Besides, I'd probably only do it to the Stamp system since it's already so far gone it wouldn't matter. Then again, it almost works just to have all those blobs all over the place. Though I do have some ideas about creating spatial ruptures...
If I ever figure it out at some point, I'll post my methods here. If nothing else, at least I can create black holes at will

Oh, that's a comforting thought
For spatical ruptures, I'm not sure if it will work but if the event abiltity that causes a ship to randomly transport (spacial anomoly event IIRC) can be applied to a system or sector, perhaps a storm or some other such object, that might achive a similar result. If not quite the same.
