And in the Spring of the first year of His reign, Arch-Arachn-General Tacticus sent his thought to distants lands, seeking valliant souls to advance His cause.

And it came that He uttered those memorable words :

"O Goodies ! Elephants !"

Which were duly noted in the Divine Scripture for the edification of later generations...

The text, however, was slightly edited a few years later, and came to read :

And the God said :
"Let the Desert bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life"
and from the Desert the great beasts came, and the God named them Elephants, and they served Him and they worshiped Him.

That text was preserved in the Apocryphs of Haulf the apostat. The official Version of the Words of the Arachn make no mention of elephants whatsoever...
