Re: OT: How old are you ?
LOL, I am -stunned- that many here are my elders. I honestly expected a much younger crowd, but nonetheless I am pleased to know that most of you are older... I am a young pup here at 20.
21 in a week or two. *cheers* Oh YEAH.

Grayhorse - Do you remember Starflight I & II?
I loved those games, so much freedom... Run around, upgrade your ship, trade with aliens, explore for worlds, etc... that open-endedness was great.

Yep, I remember that game fondly as well. Still my favorite from the golden years is Midway. Geo said he found it and is working on getting it to work with current basic. I hope he gets it to work as I use to love playing that game for hours.

Awesome, never heard of Midway, and never really got into MOO either. Im interested in hearing about them though. I was a VGA Planets/Stars! man before SEIII.

It seems the links (if there ever were any) have fallen out of sight.

This is the colorized, and "Temporally Stabilized" Version that I fixed up. The game is exactly the same as normal, except for added delays, which will give people using today's computers a chance to read the text Messages.

Re: OT: How old are you ?
37 old (ouch!), playing wargames and RPG since 22 years (yeah !), and playing with computer games since 16... with an Apple IIe, great machine !
I had a very cool game of space combat where you designed your ships, can't recall the name ...
I acquired my first PC box just to play Civ when it came out, but first 4x I played was MOO1 however, not that old !
