Mmm, not sure what you mean... There are missile weapons in SE IV which track their targets; the generic term used is seeker and they seem to first appear in the form of Capital Ship Missile. These are similar to both the missiles of Starfire (one of my favorite games, which the SE series seems lovingly based on) complete with point defense to shoot them down. The way that seekers behave is quite similar to the drones from Star Fleet Battles. Is this what you sought (pun semi-intended
