this sounds really neat
we have even hijacked another forum with conversations about this game, check it out if you are looking for IT2 info:
http://www.shrapnelgames.com/cgi-bin...;f=23;t=008072
I have recently realized that this was previously released under self-publication, and that there was a demo out there, once. After hunting for the demo, I have come up with nothing but dead links
is shrapnel going to be making the IT2 demo available again? is the game published through shrapnel going to be identical to the IT2 that was self-published by Stormcloud? Or will it have minor tweaks and revisions?

Yep, I did release this for a while on my own. With a larger company and more press and exposure, I hope more people get to see it, and enjoy it as much as my previous customers do.
Yes this is now an exclusive Shrapnel release, no demo of mine around any more.

I'm fairly sure the demo will be available for download soon, early next week I believe.
The game published by Shrapnel does have a few tweaks (the game itself runs a bit quicker due to some optimization), has a few minor fixes, and a new added feature requested by many previous Users, *exclusive* to the Shrapnel Version: You can upgrade your current ship, or now you can visit the Ship Dealer and buy a whole NEW ship, with uniquely generated names and stats. Some pretty wild variations and even special unique abilities are possible with these ships (some earn you extra money when you sell items or stock, or give you various other special bonuses).
Should be fun.

Re: this sounds really neat
It is very entertaining. A good game at a good price. Are there any cheat codes? It would be nice. Also, is there an editor or the ability to mod the game? Great work.
Have a good day.

Re: this sounds really neat
Glad you're enjoying it, Drago! Thanks for your comments.
To answer your questions:
1. No cheat codes in the game. Cheat codes tend to make games in general too easy, and I dislike them as a general rule.
2. No "mod" abilities (as of yet anyway). The game design itself doesn't lend itself to heavy modding really, and was mostly designed before Shrapnel picked it up. However, I may have to keep in mind that many Shrapnel people like to tinker with the game files in the future...

As a side note: I once found a "trainer" awhile back for Trader 1 that allowed you to get money by pressing a certain key. Made me laugh, but then it occured to me: Hey, I guess people wouldn't make a trainer for a game no one played, right?

Re: this sounds really neat
Thank you for the information. I hope it sells well. A very neat game indeed. It could use more saves though.
Have a good day.
